Fall 2024 Baseball Starts Tomorrow!

Fall baseball starts this week!
You should have been recently added to a league GroupMe. If you haven’t, see the contact info below to connect with your child's league director.
As we’ve said, our fall league is not our spring production. We tried fall ball a couple years ago and parents loved it so we kept it going. This is our 3rd year and we’ve taken feedback to improve each year.
One question we know that needs to be answered is "what does my child need to have for fall ball?"
Each child will need the following:
- Glove
- Helmet
- Bats are optional (most kids will have their own bats and most kids don’t mind if you borrow theirs)
- Baseball pants (we prefer gray pants)
- Shirt in the color your team is on (e.g. blue team will wear blue shirts, red team-red shirts, etc.)
- Wear your team's colors for games and practices
If you have questions, the league directors should be your first contact.

Fall 2024 Baseball Update

Hello Parents,
We are quickly approaching the start of the Fall 2024 baseball season. Please be on the lookout for an email next weekend with the team rosters and coaches. Plan on the first practice for all the teams to occur on Monday, August 26. Some teams will practice at 6:00 and others at 7:00 or 7:15.

DEAR PARENTS,
REGISTRATION FOR BYSA'S FALL 2024 BASEBALL SEASON IS NOW LIVE. REGISTRATION CAN BE COMPLETED AT THIS LINK OR BY VISITING WWW.BENTONBASEBALL.COM AND SELECTING "REGISTER HERE" ON THE FRONT PAGE.
IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR FALL BALL SEASON, EXPECT A VERY CASUAL AND RELAXED ATMOSPHERE. TO KEEP REGISTRATION FEES LOW AND TO KEEP THINGS SIMPLE, THERE WON'T BE ANY TEAM UNIFORMS. BEFORE GAMES ARE PLAYED, TEAMS MAY EVEN SEND A COUPLE OF THEIR KIDS TO THE OPPOSING TEAM TO ENSURE BOTH TEAMS HAVE 9 KIDS. OUR PURPOSE IN OFFERING FALL BALL (WHICH WE STARTED IN 2022) WASN'T TO BE AS COMPETITIVE AND TEAM-ORIENTED LIKE WE ARE IN THE SPRING, BUT TO PROVIDE KIDS THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE FUN, GET REPS, AND DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS.
ONCE THE TEAMS ROSTERS ARE DEVELOPED, A COACH WILL REACH OUT TO YOU A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE THE SEASON BEGINS TO LET YOU KNOW YOUR TEAM'S SCHEDULE. THE SEASON ITSELF WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY, AUGUST 26 AND FINISH ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3. EACH TEAM WILL HAVE ONE PRACTICE AND PLAY ONE GAME EACH WEEK, THOUGH THERE MAY BE TIMES WHEN IT WORKS OUT FOR A TEAM TO PLAY TWO GAMES IN A GIVEN WEEK.
PRACTICES/GAMES WILL ALL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY AND THURSDAYS. GAMES THAT ARE RAINED OUT WILL NOT BE RESCHEDULED.

BYSA Baseball Evaluation Announcement for Saturday, February 24

Good morning!
BYSA Evaluations will take place this Saturday, February 24, 2024. Below is important information about Saturday's evaluation event.
Location: Benton High School Baseball Field
Address: 1800 Benton Parkway, Benton, AR 72015
Evaluation Schedule:
- 5/6 League - 10:00 a.m.
- 7/8 League - 12:00 p.m.
- 9/10 League - 1:30 p.m.
- 11/12 League - 3:00 p.m.
- 13-15 League - 4:00 pm.
What to wear: Players are not required to wear a baseball uniform, but they will need to dress in WARM athletic attire. Kids may wear tennis shoes, molded cleats, or turf shoes. We will be outdoors. Please plan accordingly.
What to expect: You will check in with our registrars when you arrive. Those who have not registered or paid may do so on Saturday. You MUST come Saturday to register, as there will no longer be an opportunity to register after this weekend since teams will be drafted immediately following evaluations. Parents are welcome to watch evaluations but will need to stay off the playing field unless you are coaching. Parents/family may sit in the bleachers to watch. Only players and coaches will be allowed on the playing field, dugout, or bullpen areas.
4/5 T-Ball League: This age group is the only one that DOES NOT have evluations. Parents will be contacted by a coach once these kids have been placed on a team.

Benton Baseball Spring Evaluations will be held on Febraury 24th at the Benton Athletic Complex. The address is:

The schedule is below:
5-6 Year Old 9:00 AM
7-8 Year Old 10:30 AM
9/10 Year Old 1:00 PM
11/12 Year Old 2:30 PM
13-15 Year Old 3:30 PM
ALL COACHES PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR AGE GROUP STARTS.

Registration will also be available at evaluations, please arrive 15 minutes early to get registered if you were unable to sign up before evaluations.
